This engine was purchased from a engine trader at the 2005 Astle park 1000 engine rally, The engine was in poor condition with frost cracks and a missing mounting lug and a fabricated tank. Since then the engine has been completed stripped and replacement fuel tank sourced, two second hand flywheels were purchased as well due to the originals being cracked, other parts have been fabricated and the rebuild has begun. The engine will finally be mounted on a chassis with a old Lister 1kw dynamo and switchboard. This particular version includes the cast air filter and extended crankshaft both sides and was one of three manufactured for a company called C.H.Johnson & Sons Ltd.
